It has been a pleasure to produce such dynamic projects for both new and returning clients this past year. 2022 has been a strong year for large scale 3D animation projects for security sector clients, as well as live-action projects spanning brand films, campaign films, TVCs, internal communications and groundbreaking security training films. We’ve also been busy managing a variety of international shoots this year, which have taken us to Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam, Spain, Italy, and Chile. A big thank you to all the wonderful creatives, casts and crews we have had the pleasure of working with in 2022 – it’s talent, imagination and innovation which continue to elevate how we work, and what we can deliver.
To cap off a fantastic year at Pukka, we were pleased to have our projects recognised and celebrated at the 2022 EVCOM Awards in November. Gongs we ran away with include:
Gold for the Gambling with Lives drama film in Learning & Development, and a Highly Commended award in the Script category (some stellar work from writer Dan Smith)
Gold for ‘Acting Fast Will Save Lives‘ in Health & Safety and Silver in Learning & Development (we lost to ourselves!)
Bronze for ‘Are We OK With This?‘ for the Coalition Against Gambling Advertising in the Best Use of a Small Budget category.
Two new series for Video Arts
In 2022 we produced two new comedy training series set in the workplace for Video Arts; ‘Hybrid Working Essentials’ and ‘Talent Essentials’. At over 100 minutes of run-time, these engaging and character-led series were a pleasure to produce, and involved casting and working with top talent from the comedy world.
Are You In?
Hoot in the height of the Italian summer in July? Sure! Whereabouts? Florence, Puglia, the Tuscan countryside, Siena, Lake Como and the Dolomites. ALL of those places? OK! We embraced the challenge of travelling and shooting across Italy with a cast and crew of 35 in 2022, producing a TVC for Leger Holidays. We engaged some of our best Italian production connections to realise this ambitious shoot, which saw us hiring locations from hotels and vineyards to the beautiful and iconic Duomo of Siena.
