Cyber Aware at Sea launches with a bang

On 11th July 2017 we premiered our new Cyber Security film at the UK Chamber of Shipping in London to audiences of maritime and cyber industry experts from both the private and public sectors.
This educational resource is geared to affect change where Pukka often sets its sights: in everyday human behaviour which can often beget complacency and errors in the workplace.

In an evening filled with debate we heard speeches exploring a myriad of topical concerns facing the maritime industry. Executive Producer Chris Young of Fidra Films introduced a diverse line up of speakers from across the industry, while Pukka’s Paul Katis explained our approach to the film which focussed on story and character rather than generic didacticism.
The film is distributed over the web for free on YouTube.

The film has been supported by several industry sponsors: NSSL Global, OCIMF, CSO Alliance, JWC Media, City of Glasgow College and Standard P&I and liner Samskip donated their container vessel in Hull as a key filming location.

The film has already been shared across several organisations with a distribution model intended for the widest possible audience.
